Zamfara State Police Command has concluded plans to specially recruit Fulani youths in the Special Constabulary Scheme to enhance the security of the state.

Commissioner of Police of the Command, CP Abutu Yari who disclosed this during a familiarization visit to the Emirs of Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji Emirates, said he observed that, Fulanis were not adequately represented in the Special Police Constabularies, hence the need to recruit more.

CP Abutu Yaro explained that, the activities of Civilian JTF had been banned completely which led to the use of Constabularies mainly for intelligence gathering from their native villages.

He admonished Fulanis to avail their children to join the special Police constabulary as it doesn’t requires academic qualification.

The Commissioner who described traditional rulers as the best mechanism to ensure proper security, called on them to do more in providing timely reports about the activities of criminals in their localities.

According to him, any aggrieved citizen can channel his complaint through the traditional rulers to the police for proper solution.

In his remarks, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Major Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha RTD, who warned District heads against haording information and supporting bandits, said his Emirate had earlier designed a blueprint with a view to complimenting the State government’s peace and dialogue initiative to end any form of crime in the emirate and commended the CP for the visit

On his part, Emir of Birnin Magaji, Alhaji Hussaini Mode Usman, urged the CP to reopen Police Outposts in the emirate that have been shutdown for long due to persistent security challenges.

Nigeria Police Force Requirements – General

Interested candidates who wish to participate in the Nigeria Police 2021 recruitment must meet the basic pre-requisite/criteria outlined below:

  1. Candidates are advised to read the following instructions thoroughly before completing the Nigeria Police Force online Recruitment Form. Any incomplete or wrongly completed Form will be rejected and will not be processed.

Applicants must have passion for a career in the Nigeria Police Force and must satisfy the following:

  1. Applicant shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIN).
  2. Applicant must possess a minimum of Five (5) Credits in not more than two sittings in WASSCE/GCE/N ECO/NABTEB with credit passes in English and Mathematics
  3. Applicant must be aged between 17 – 25 years
  4. Applicant must be medically, physically and psychological fit and must not be less than 1.67m tall for male and 1.64m tall for female
  5. Applicant must not have less than 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurement (for men only)
  6. Female applicant must not be pregnant at the time of the recruitment
  7. Applicant must be free from any pecuniary embarrassment
  8. Applicant must print their completed online forms, guarantor forms and submit same at the examination/screening and recruitment centre.
  9. All applicants MUST have readily available scanned copy of their SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/NECO Result Birth Certificate Result FSLC Result LGA Certificate Passport Photograph Chest Measurement.

A candidate who is suffering from any one of the underlisted abnormalities or deformities shall not be accepted for enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force:

  1. Impediment in speech
  2. Gross malformation of teeth or jaw preventing proper mastication of food
  3. Knock knees
  4. Bow legs
  5. Bent knees, i.e Knees which cannot be straightened when standing at attention
  6. Deformed hands which cannot perform the full functions of the hand
  7. Defective eyesight or squint eyes
  8. Amputation of any part of the body

How to Apply for NPF Recruitment 2021

All applications are done online at the Police online recruitment portal.

Once you go to the portal, you will have to create an account if you are a new applicant.

If you already have an account, simply use the login form to access your account and complete your online registration.

Note: You must have a valid email address and National Identification Number (NIN) since you are going to verify your registration with a link sent to your email.

NPF Recruitment List of Shortlisted Candidates 2021

One thing that makes people fail recruitment is their inability to follow due process and obeying the requirements.
